ปิดเทอมใหญ่อีกครั้ง (มีนา 2557) คุณแม่รับหน้าที่หาที่พักให้สมาชิกในครอบครัวเหมือนเดิม ปิดเทอมนี้พวกเราเลือกนอนเกาะพีพี 2 คืนก่อนกลับบ้านกระบี่ กว่าคุณแม่จะมาลงเอยที่ Zeavola Resort ได้ ก็ใช้เวลานานพอสมควร นั่งไล่อ่านรีวิวของชาวต่างชาติเสียส่วนใหญ่ หาคนไทยรีวิวไว้มีน้อยมาก หลังจากโทรคุยกับพนักงานโรงแรมหลายครั้งทั้งเรื่องราคาและการเดินทาง คุยจนได้ส่วนลดมากมาย ราคาต่างกับราคาหน้าเว็บและราคาตามเว็บจองโรงแรมต่าง ๆ มาก บางครั้งจองตรงก็ถูกกว่าจองกับเว็บดัง ๆ หรือบริษัททัวร์อีกนะ
เรานั่งเครื่องบินไปลงที่สนามบินภูเก็ต มีพนักงานโรงแรมมารับไปรอลงเรือที่ Royal Phuket Marina ระหว่างรอ มีเสิร์ฟ ชา กาแฟ และขนมเลือกได้คนละชิ้น พอกินหมดก็ถึงเวลาลงเรือพอดี นั่งสปีดโบ้ทลำใหญ่ ใช้เวลาเดินทางชั่วโมงกว่าก็ถึงเกาะพีพีดอน ที่นี่ไม่พลุกพล่าน เรียกว่าเงียบสงบกันเลยทีเดียว น้ำใส ทรายขาวไม่แพ้มัลดีฟส์เลย แต่ทรายบ้านเรานุ่มกว่าที่มัลดีฟส์มาก แถมบรรยากาศในรีสอร์ทร่มรื่นสุด ๆ ทางเดินเป็นพื้นทราย เดินเท้าเปล่าสบายที่สุด ตอนเช็คอิน พนักงานขอถ่ายรูปครอบครัวบริเวณล็อบบี้ มีศาลานั่งพักทำฉากหลังคล้ายเวทีลิเก แปลกตาน่ารักมาก
ห้องพักทั้งหมดเป็นวิลล่าไม้สักแบบสบาย ๆ ติดแอร์เฉพาะในห้องนอนเท่านั้น พื้นที่พักผ่อนอื่น ๆ เปิดโล่งหมด แต่ก็มีลมโชย ไม่ร้อน ในห้องนอนมีโซฟาเบดจัดเป็นเตียงเสริมให้ลูกคนโต ส่วนคุณแม่มีโต๊ะนั่งทำงานแปลตอนกลางคืนด้วย ตอนพนักงานพาไปที่วิลล่า พาเข้าทางหน้าบ้าน แต่ตอนเราเดินออกจากบ้าน เราออกทางระเบียงข้างบ้านทะลุมาสระว่ายน้ำ ออกหน้าหาดได้เลย เดินกลับเข้าบ้านอีกที (ทางระเบียง) มีหลง เพราะเหมือนกันหมดทุกหลัง เกือบเข้าบ้านผิดเหมือนกัน (ถ้าเข้าหน้าบ้านดี ๆ มีหมายเลขห้องพัก ก็ไม่หลงนะ)
ไลน์บุฟเฟต์มื้อเช้าอลังการมาก มีอาหารหลากหลายให้เลือก และที่สั่งเป็นเซ็ตต่างหากก็มีด้วย เช่น ข้าวต้มกุ๊ย ไข่กระทะ อาหารญี่ปุ่น อเมริกันเบรกฟาสต์ แถมมีปาท่องโก๋ให้ถุงอีกหนึ่งถุง มื้อกลางวัน คุณแม่สั่งรูมเซอร์วิส พนักงานมาเสิร์ฟเป็นปิ่นโตเซรามิกสามชั้นสวยงาม มื้อเย็นวันแรกใช้บริการห้องอาหารริมหาดของรีสอร์ท อาหารอร่อย บริการน่าประทับใจมาก
วันที่สอง คุณพ่อจองทริปกับทางรีสอร์ท พาคุณแม่กับลูกนั่งสปีดโบ้ทไปอ่าวมาหยา เกาะลิง และแวะดำน้ำตื้นดูปลากัน พนักงานเสิร์ฟน้ำกับผลไม้บนเรือด้วย คุณแม่ไม่ได้ลงดำน้ำ บอกเลยการนั่งรอบนเรือที่จอดโคลงเคลงไปมานี่ทำเอาปวดหัวมึนมากถึงมากที่สุด คุณแม่เดินโซซัดโซเซ หาที่ทิ้งตัวลงนอน (บนทรายก็ยอม) ที่เกาะลิง ดีว่าไม่มีลิงมากวน ส่วนสามคนพ่อลูกเล่นน้ำสนุกกันใหญ่ กลับถึงฝั่ง คุณแม่สลบยาว มื้อเย็นวันที่สองเราฝากท้องกับร้านอาหารข้างนอก ถูกกว่า (รสชาติสมราคา)
โดยรวมแล้ว ครอบครัวเราชอบที่นี่มาก เพราะสงบ สะอาด เป็นส่วนตัว ไม่หรูหรา แต่กลมกลืนกับธรรมชาติ อยากกลับมาพักที่นี่อีกทุกปี ๆ จะได้ไหม (ถามคุณพ่อ)

INTRODUCTION TO THE HIDEAWAY BEACH OF PHI PHI DON
At Phuket International Airport, we were greeted by a resort staff, providing a transfer from the airport to the Royal Phuket Marina. Here, the hospitality started early. Before boarding a large speed boat transfer, we were offered complimentary tea, coffee, water, croissants or sweets of our choices.
WELCOME TO ZEAVOLA
Zeavola is located in a stunningly beautiful bay in a remote area of Phi Phi Don Island, so you feel like you are on a real getaway from the rowdiness of the other parts of the island. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The beach and the water were white, clean and clear. The check-in area and the whole resort are outdoor. White sand pathways between each of the villas, surrounded with jungle environment, the walkways are lined with sand so it feels very connected to the nature and the beach (just like resorts in Maldives). It was a privilege to stay here amongst the other birds and animals of Phi Phi.
OUR GARDEN VILLA
The open-air cabin nestled in the trees, with fully enclosed, air conditioned bedroom, indoor and outdoor showers, and outdoor lounge. The room was great. It was quite spacious and airy with glass walls and high ceiling. The bed was simple with canopy and colorful Thai silk pillows. There was a desk and a chair for working. Mum had one translation project to complete during the trip.
There was also an outdoor veranda with a cushion seat on the deck floor that was great for lying out, reading and listening to the sounds around you. A turn down service was impressive with cute little notes, candy and trinkets on top of the pillow.
DINING
The resort came with complementary buffet breakfast which was really good and full with a great selection of both Thai and western choices (including pizza for the boys). The restaurant was on the beach and provided delicious lunch/dinner facing the ocean. The food was of a good standard and well presented.
We ate in-house once for a late lunch, served in a ceramic Pinto (three-storey food carrier), and bought some food for dinner from an outside restaurant on the beach.
There was a row of loungers and bean bags for guests to use on the beach. They also served cocktails here but we did not try any.
ACTIVITIES
Apart from lying down on the beach and playing sand, our children also had fun in a reasonable-sized swimming pool with kids’ zone together with their new Japanese friends. There were a lot of activities available through the resort, from scuba diving, snorkeling and hiking etc. We took a joint speed boat excursion with the resort to Maya bay and Monkey beach. The crew was fantastic and showed us all the great sites around both islands.
THE CALL FOR RETURNS
The staff was friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits. The beach was amazing and the room was stunning. We loved the simplicity of the resort, a kind of the true eco-tourism experience with superior hospitality. What a great place to do nothing!
We would definitely love to return.
